Mycotoxins mold in coffee

Modified on Wed, 10 Oct, 2018 at 8:14 PM

There can be some very serious health hazards with mold in coffee which is very prevalent in commercial grade coffee. Koffee Kult only purchases speciality grade coffee with a standard of a specific bean size and zero blacks, or other defects in our green coffee. We consider mold a defect, if we found coffee with mold in testing the entire container would be rejected before entering into our production department. We test our coffee pre-ship from country of origin, arrival in USA sample, pre production sample, post roast sample and random products samples from fulfillment center inventory.

This is just the start of our quality control :-) In an addition to our in house quality control we do standard and accelerated produced testing for mold on a regular basis in a independent certified lab. In addition we have a HACCP plan and recall program in case there ever was any health danger with any of our products.
