Why speed matters: Since we roast your coffee fresh to order, we begin processing immediately. The sooner you contact us, the better chance we have to make changes!


Order Processing Timeline

Understanding when your order is being processed helps you know when modifications are possible:

? 0-2 hours: Best window for changes

  • Order received, not yet in roasting queue
  • All modifications possible
  • Action: Contact us immediately for fastest results

? 2-12 hours: Often still possible

  • Order may be in production queue
  • Some modifications may still be available
  • Action: Contact us ASAP - we'll do our best!

? 12+ hours: May already be roasting

  • Coffee likely being roasted or packaged
  • Very limited modification options
  • Action: Contact us, but changes may not be possible

? After shipping: Cannot cancel, but we can help with returns

  • Package already with carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS)
  • You can refuse delivery or initiate a return
  • Action: See our Returns Policy for options

Before Processing - Possible:

Cancel entire order

❌ After Processing - Not Possible:

Any modifications (order is already being roasted)

  • Your coffee is being freshly roasted specifically for you
  • Cannot stop or modify once roasting has begun

Cancellations (coffee is being made fresh for you)

  • Once roasting starts, we cannot reverse the process

Adding discount codes

  • Must be applied at checkout before order submission

Payment method changes

  • Payment is processed immediately at checkout

Shipping changes

  • Cannot modify once package is with carrier

Subscription changes for current order

  • Current shipment already processing; modify future orders instead

What About Subscriptions?

Current Subscription Shipment:
Cannot modify once it's being processed (typically 3 days before ship date)

Future Subscription Shipments:

  • Coffee type or quantity
  • Grind preference
  • Delivery frequency
  • Shipping address
  • Pause or skip shipments
  • Cancel subscription

How to manage your subscription:

  2. Go to "Manage Subscription"
  3. Make your changes
  4. Changes apply to next shipment

Order Status Guide

Understanding where your order is:

? "Order Confirmed"

✅ Can cancel or modify - contact us immediately!

  • Order received, payment processed
  • Not yet in roasting queue
  • Best window for changes

? "Processing"

⚠️ May be too late - contact us ASAP, we'll try!

  • Coffee may be in roasting queue
  • Limited modification options
  • Time-sensitive

? "Roasting"

❌ Cannot modify - order being freshly roasted

  • Coffee actively being roasted for you
  • Too late to make changes
  • Can still arrange returns after delivery

? "Shipped"

❌ Cannot cancel - but you have options:

  • Package with carrier
  • Option 1: Refuse delivery (package returns to us, full refund minus shipping)
  • Option 2: Accept and initiate return (see returns policy)
  • Option 3: Keep and enjoy your fresh coffee!

Common Scenarios & Solutions

"I ordered the wrong grind!"

Before processing: Contact us immediately - we can change it!
After processing: Accept order and use for different brew method, or return per our policy


"I need to change my shipping address!"

Before shipping: Email us ASAP with order number and new address
After shipping: Contact carrier (UPS/FedEx/USPS) to request delivery change


"I forgot to use my discount code!"

Unfortunately: Discount codes must be applied at checkout and cannot be added retroactively. We can't modify pricing after the order is placed.


"I ordered too much/too little coffee!"

Before processing: Contact us to adjust quantities
After processing: Place a new order for additional coffee, or return unopened bags per our policy


"I want to add another coffee to my order!"

Before processing: Contact us to add items
After processing: Place a separate order (consider free shipping threshold!)


"I need my order faster!"

Before shipping: Contact us about expedited shipping upgrade (additional cost)
After shipping: Contact carrier about expediting in-transit package


Return Options (If Too Late to Cancel)

If your order has already shipped, you still have options:

Refuse Delivery:

  • Don't accept the package when it arrives
  • Carrier returns it to us automatically
  • Full refund issued (minus original shipping cost)

Standard Return:

Important: Coffee cannot be returned once opened (it's perishable and roasted to order)
